Anchors in Reality

Ever wonder why the wind is always blowing through the trees, the campfire always smells of hickory smoke, and the heroine's skin is always soft and warm to the touch? The reason is simple. If you would like to manipulate readers' psyches for fun and profit, then you may want to read this article.

Astronomy For Science Fiction Writers: Practical Astrogation

Open any book on astronomy and you will see extensive diagrams of where the stars are located in the terrestrial sky. The needs of science fiction writers are different. We don't care at all where the stars appear in the night sky. We want to know where they are with respect to one other. "Screw the pretty lights; how the hell do you get there?" is our motto. This article will give you some insight into that subject.
